House Burglaries 15th December.

On Thursday 15th December there were two incidents of house burglaries in Birstall.

Wanlip Lane (close to Windmill Avenue), between 7.30pm and 8.30pm.
Becks Close, between 6.30pm and 8.30pm.

In both cases, entry was gained through patio doors at the rear of the property and electrical items were taken. It is thought that a vehicle must have been used to transport the stolen items.

Were you in either of these areas around these times, did you see or hear anything suspicious ? Please report any information however minor by dialing 101, the Leicestershire Police non emergency telephone number.

Damage to Vehicles - 10th/11th December.

We have received the following message from PCSO Mark Butler:-
There have been a number of incidents where the off side rear quarter lights have been smashed to gain access to vehicles and for them to be searched and items taken included a Sat Nav, CD disc’s, loose change and a torch.
There were 8 incidents across the village they all happened between 23:00 on Saturday 10th and 08:00 on Sunday 11th December.
They occurred on Gwendolin Ave, Orchard Road, Lambourne Road, Blenheim Road, Copeland Road and Fielding Road.
If any one saw any thing suspicious in these areas around these times, could they please contact me by phoning 101 and leave me a message for me to get back to them.

Could you please encourage residents not leave anything of value in or on display in there vehicles. Especially at this time of year or someone else will be having a Happy Christmas at their expense.

Cars Damaged - Copeland Road.

At approximately 1.00am on Sunday 11th December, two cars were damaged in Copeland Road (close to Went Road). Both vehicles had windows broken.

Were you in this area around this time, did you see or hear anything suspicious ? Please report any information, however minor, by ringing 101 (Leicestershire Police non emergency telephone number).
