Identity Theft - Warning
On Thursday 3rd September, Recycling Day in Birstall, two men were seen searching refuse bags and apparently removing some paper items. This incident occurred in the Stonehill Avenue area of the village.Please be careful about disposing of any items that contain personal information which could be useful to criminals.
The Watch strongly recommends that all papers containing personal information such as names/addresses, account numbers, utility bills etc. are destroyed before disposal by either shredding or burning.
